Join us for a weekend of macro photography in Northcliffe's majestic forests and heathlands! We have two photography workshops and will spend lots of time over the weekend searching for our local tiny treasures - insects, peacock spiders and our beautiful in season wildflowers.

 

There are plenty of great events to join in on over the weekend:

 

DAY 1 - Friday 9 October  ($5 per adult)

7PM NOCTURNAL FROG WALK 
Meet Wendy at Northcliffe Visitor Centre 7pm with a torch, sturdy shoes that can get wet and your camera to go on a frog walk in our local forest park.

 

DAY 2 - Saturday 10 October ($10 per adult)

9AM WILDFLOWER PHONE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP WITH SOPHIE XIANG

Sophie Xiang will be presenting her popular 3hour wildflower phone photography workshop at the NCRC Meeting Space.  Learn some tips to improve your flora phone photography from someone who is passionate about Australian wildflowers.

12PM TAG ALONG TOUR TO WINDY HARBOUR

Join us for an afternoon of wildflower, flora, pollinator and invertebrate photography in Windy Harbour and D'Entrecasteaux National Park as we explore the recent burn areas between Mt Chudalup and Salmon Beach.  Locals will be on hand to talk all things bugs and blooms.  BYO picnic lunch and drinks.  Carpooling recommended.

7PM NOCTURNAL BUG HUNT

Meet Wendy at Northcliffe Visitor Centre 7pm with a torch and your camera to see what bugs we can find in Northcliffe Forest Park.

DAY3 - Sunday 11 October ($10 per adult)

9AM MACRO NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY TALK

Join multi-award winning photographer, Beth Baker, for a fun a 1hour macro flora photography workshop at the NCRC Meeting Space followed by a photoshoot.

10AM TAG ALONG DRIVE TO LAKE MUIR

Meet at NCRC Meeting Space to carpool to Lake Muir to hunt for spring wildflowers.  BYO lunch and drinks.​​
