As part of the inaugural Northcliffe Bee Festival weekend, Northcliffe's Bean Bag Cinema is holding a mini film festival with something for everyone.

The write up from the Bean Bag Cinema crew:

Friday 23 October 7pm - Honeyland (rated M)

The big feature will be Honeyland a dramatic documentary rated 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, which swept the 2024 Oscars.

Thursday 22 October 7pm - The Swarm (rated PG)

Also big will be a venture into the world of 1970s disaster cinema.  The Swarm from 1978 is a legendary fixture in the 'so bad it's good' genre.  The 1970s saw a swarm of 6 killer bee movies with The Swarm a big budget example that found its way onto authoritative 'worst movie of all time' lists.  I remember watching it as a kid.  While disappointment is almost guaranteed, I still can't wait to see it again!

Sunday 25 October 11am - Bee Movie (rated G)

Rounding out our bee film festival is one for the kids: Jerry Seinfeld's animated Bee Movie.

These are all free movie events in Northcliffe's Bean Bag Cinema.  We supply the comfy beanbags, popcorn and entertainment.  Just come along - no bookings needed.
